Living the Dream - A Tale of Two Cities

When a great opportunity arises, you've got to grab it by the horns and decorate it! My opportunity came in the form of a New York showroom. While Austin will always be the home base of Kendra Scott, and the inspiration behind the decor, it was time to spread our wings and bring our southern charm to our big city buyers.

I took inspiration from my own dining room (pictured in Austin Monthly Home as shown) and chose a warm and inviting color palette of soft grays and cool sky blue to invite you to sit down and stay awhile. Floating glass shelves and warm wood floors made the bright colored jewels just pop - and our buyers took notice! If they somehow missed all the glittering jewelry around them, there's always the Kendra Scott logo lit up from floor to ceiling to light the way to great styles.

Now fully staffed and operational, I'm glad we chose to make our Manhattan showroom just like home - it certainly feels like one every time we step inside.

I am truly living the dream!

We’d like to throw a garden party: the sort of soiree that calls for delicate cups of tea and petit fours aplenty. Designers must have felt the same, as models sashayed down the runways in many a floral inspired frock. Splashes of Monet-like watercolors and broad-stroked buds blossom all around, just in time for warm breezes and bare shoulders. To pack in as much flower power as possible, we pair our florals with pieces from our African Violet collection. Crisp green, sumptuous purple and glistening yellow shine in the sun, as if my green thumb were busy outside instead of in my closet. So even if you see concrete below those peep toe pumps, grab your favorite flowery frocks and Kendra Scott jewels and feel fabulous.

It's White Hot, The New Black

With summer on the horizon, that innate alarm that shouts out “you can wear white again!” has been ringing. From the eyelet little white dress (a perfect substitute for your tired Little Black Dress), to white-rimmed oversized shades, to the crispest white shirt, to white denim, this hue is showing up everywhere. Here at KSD, we are swooning over the white trend . Pair your jewels with another vibrant color, or go for the head-to-toe white look. However you wear this trend, you’re sure to be white-hot this summer.
